The caregiver detail page provides a comprehensive view of a single caregiver's profile, including personal information, credentials, event assignments, survey responses, travel arrangements, and work history. This page is the central hub for understanding a caregiver's qualifications and activity within HCSS Events Platform.

Accessing the Caregiver Detail Page

  1. Navigate to Caregivers in the left sidebar.
  2. Locate the caregiver using search or filters (see Viewing and Filtering Caregivers).
  3. Click the caregiver's name in the list to open their detail page.

Page Layout

The caregiver detail page is organized into tabs. The header area always displays the caregiver's name, BlueSky ID, primary specialty, and current status. Below the header, the following tabs are available:

  • Personal Info
  • Credentials
  • Assignments
  • Survey Responses
  • Travel Info
  • Work History

Personal Info Tab

The Personal Info tab displays the caregiver's contact and demographic information, all sourced from BlueSky CRM.

Fields

Full NameFirst name, middle initial, last name, and suffix (if applicable).
BlueSky IDUnique identifier from BlueSky CRM. Read-only in the platform.
Primary SpecialtyClinical specialty (RN, LPN, CNA, etc.).
EmailPrimary email address.
PhonePrimary phone number.
Secondary PhoneAlternate phone number, if available.
AddressMailing address (street, city, state, ZIP).
Date of BirthUsed for identity verification and compliance.
SSN (Last 4)Last four digits of Social Security Number. Visible only to Admin role.
Emergency ContactName and phone number of the caregiver's emergency contact.
StatusActive, Inactive, or DNR.
NotesFree-text notes added by the platform users.

Most personal information fields are synchronized from BlueSky CRM and cannot be edited in the platform. The Notes field and Status field are the exceptions -- these are managed within the platform.

Editing Personal Info

🔒Requires permission: Caregivers.Update

To edit the the platform-managed fields:

  1. Click the Edit button in the top-right corner of the Personal Info tab.
  2. Modify the Notes or Status fields.
  3. Click Save to apply changes.

Credentials Tab

The Credentials tab displays the caregiver's professional licenses, certifications, and compliance documents.

Credential Status Indicators

Each credential displays a status indicator:

IndicatorMeaning
Green checkmarkCredential is current and valid.
Yellow warningCredential expires within 30 days.
Red XCredential is expired or missing.
Gray dashCredential is not applicable for this caregiver's specialty.

Caregivers with expired or missing required credentials may not be eligible for assignment. The system will display a warning when attempting to assign a caregiver with credential issues.

Assignments Tab

The Assignments tab shows all events and assignments associated with this caregiver, both current and historical.

Assignment List Columns

FacilityAssigned facility name.
UnitAssigned unit/department.
SpecialtySpecialty for this assignment (may differ from primary).
ShiftDay, Night, Evening, or Rotating.
Start DateAssignment start date.
End DateAssignment end date.
StatusAssignment status (Scheduled, Active, Completed, Cancelled).

Click any assignment row to navigate to the assignment detail page. See Assignment Management for more details.

Assignment Summary

At the top of the Assignments tab, a summary card displays:

  • Total Assignments: Number of assignments across all events.
  • Events Participated: Number of unique events.
  • Total Days Worked: Cumulative days across all completed assignments.
  • Average Rating: If supervisor ratings are available, the average score is shown.

Survey Responses Tab

The Survey Responses tab displays responses to surveys that the caregiver has completed within the platform.

Survey Types

Viewing Responses

  1. Click the Survey Responses tab.
  2. The page lists all surveys associated with this caregiver, sorted by date (most recent first).
  3. Click a survey row to expand and view the full response.

Each response shows:

  • Survey name and type.
  • Date sent and date completed (or "Pending" if not yet completed).
  • All questions and the caregiver's answers.

Survey responses are read-only in the platform. Surveys are configured and sent through the Events workflow. See the Events documentation for survey setup.

Travel Info Tab

The Travel Info tab manages the caregiver's travel arrangements for events, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation.

Travel Details

Home AirportCaregiver's preferred departure airport (IATA code).
Travel PreferenceFly, Drive, or Local (no travel needed).
Arrival FlightAirline, flight number, arrival date/time, and airport.
Departure FlightAirline, flight number, departure date/time, and airport.
HotelHotel name, address, check-in date, check-out date, and confirmation number.
Rental CarRental company, confirmation number, pick-up/drop-off details.
Special RequestsDietary needs, accessibility requirements, or other notes.

Managing Travel Info

Travel information can be managed per event. To update travel details:

  1. Select the event from the Event dropdown at the top of the Travel Info tab.
  2. Click Edit Travel.
  3. Fill in or update the travel fields.
  4. Click Save.

If a caregiver participates in multiple events, each event has its own travel record. Use the event dropdown to switch between them.

Work History Tab

The Work History tab provides a chronological record of the caregiver's shifts and hours across all events.

Work History Columns

Work History Summary

At the top of the tab, summary cards display:

  • Total Hours: Cumulative hours across all events.
  • Total Overtime Hours: Cumulative overtime.
  • Total Events: Number of unique events with logged shifts.
  • Average Hours/Shift: Mean hours per shift.

Filtering Work History

Use the filters above the work history table to narrow results:

  • Event: Filter by a specific event.
  • Date Range: Specify a start and end date.
  • Status: Filter by verification status.

Header Actions

The caregiver detail page header includes the following action buttons:
