Leadership Dashboard
The Leadership Dashboard provides an executive-level view of operational health across all active events. It is designed for organizational leaders who need a quick, high-level understanding of staffing progress, caregiver engagement, and upcoming milestones without navigating into individual event details.
Accessing the Dashboard
Navigate to Analytics > Leadership Dashboard. The dashboard loads with the current day's data and a default view of all active events.
The Leadership Dashboard is available to users with the Leadership or Admin role. Schedulers and other roles do not have access to this view. If you need access, contact your system administrator.
Dashboard Layout
The dashboard uses a widget-based layout organized into three tiers:
+-------------------------------------------------------------------+
| KPI Summary Bar |
+-------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Active Events | Confirmed | Fill Rate | Survey Response |
| Widget | Caregivers | Widget | Widget |
| | Widget | | |
+-------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Upcoming Arrivals Widget | Recent Activity Widget |
+-------------------------------------------------------------------+
Each widget is self-contained, displaying a primary metric with supporting detail and trend indicators.
KPI Summary Bar
The KPI Summary Bar spans the top of the dashboard and displays four headline metrics at a glance:
| KPI | Description | Calculation |
|---|---|---|
| Active Events | The number of events currently in Active or Planning status. | Count of events where status is Active or Planning. |
| Total Confirmed Caregivers | The aggregate number of caregivers with a Confirmed status across all active events. | Sum of confirmed caregivers across all active events. |
| Overall Fill Rate | The organization-wide percentage of required positions that have been filled with confirmed caregivers. | Total Confirmed / Total Required across all active events. |
| Survey Response Rate | The overall percentage of sent surveys that have been completed across all active campaigns. | Total Completed Surveys / Total Sent Surveys. |
Each KPI card includes:
- Primary value -- The current number or percentage, displayed prominently.
- Trend indicator -- An arrow and percentage showing the change from the previous period (default: previous 7 days).
- Sparkline -- A small trend chart showing the metric's movement over the last 30 days.
Use the trend indicators to quickly identify areas that need attention. A declining fill rate or survey response rate is an early warning signal that may require intervention before it becomes a larger staffing gap.
Active Events Widget
The Active Events widget shows all events in Planning or Active status, sorted by start date.
Widget Columns
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Event Name | The name of the event. Click to navigate to the event detail page. |

| End Date | The event end date. |
| Fill Rate | The event's current fill rate, displayed as a progress bar with percentage. |

Visualization
The widget displays a stacked bar chart showing the distribution of caregivers across these statuses. Hovering over any segment reveals the exact count and percentage.
Breakdown by Specialty
A secondary view within this widget groups the data by clinical specialty:
| Specialty | Required | Confirmed | Pending | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ICU / Critical Care | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Emergency Department | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Medical-Surgical | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Labor & Delivery | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Operating Room | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Telemetry | -- | -- | -- | -- |
Toggle between the summary view and specialty breakdown using the tabs at the top of the widget.
Fill Rate Widget
The Fill Rate widget provides a visual gauge and trend chart for the organization-wide fill rate.
Components
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Gauge | A circular gauge showing the current fill rate percentage with color zones (red: 0-49%, yellow: 50-79%, green: 80-100%). |
| Trend Chart | A line chart showing fill rate progression over the last 30 days with a target line overlay. |
| Comparison | Current period fill rate compared to the same period in the previous quarter or year (if data exists). |
Target Setting
Administrators can configure the fill rate target displayed on the gauge and trend chart:
- Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the Fill Rate widget.
- Enter the target fill rate percentage (e.g., 95%).
- Click Save.
The target line appears on the trend chart, and the gauge color zones adjust to reflect the target.
Survey Response Rate Widget
The Survey Response Rate widget tracks survey campaign performance across all active events.
Metrics Displayed
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Overall Response Rate | Percentage of all sent surveys that have been completed. |
| By Survey Type | Breakdown of response rates for Availability, Confirmation, Travel, and Exit surveys. |
| Campaigns Active | Number of survey campaigns currently accepting responses. |
| Reminders Sent (Last 7 Days) | Number of reminder emails sent in the past week. |
Response Rate by Survey Type
| Survey Type | Sent | Completed | Response Rate | Trend |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Availability | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Confirmation | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Travel | -- | -- | -- | -- |
| Exit | -- | -- | -- | -- |
Exit surveys typically have the lowest response rates because they are sent after the event when caregivers are less engaged. Consider sending Exit surveys within 24 hours of event completion and including an incentive or thank-you message to boost participation.
